The Bottom Line ICYMI: A Very Special Day!

In case you missed it, October 29 was the American Center for Transforming Education’s Annual Special Day of Giving. But it is not too late for you to contribute to this critical work of advancing education freedom, education entrepreneurship and innovation, protecting parental rights, and reforming public education.

Education freedom is now a reality for millions of students. Yes, millions!

Consider this: As of 2020, less than 500,000 of the more than 52 million K-12 public school students in the U.S. had access to a school choice program, and zero states had K-12 universal or near-universal education freedom. That was less than 1% of students eligible to exit the public education system unless their parents had thousands of dollars a year for tuition money or the feasibility to homeschool.

The return on investment is unmatched.

Now, roughly 18.9 million students have access to funding so their parents can select the learning avenue that will best serve their unique child! That translates to 36.3% of U.S. students. Today, 12 states have enacted universal or near-universal education freedom, meaning education funding can follow any K-12 student in the state to the school the parents choose.

But it’s not just students who exit the public school system who benefit from education options. When free market conditions exist, competition incentivizes schools to improve the quality of student learning — all students benefit as learning improves, even students who remain at public schools.

Will you help us continue the expansion of education freedom for more children across our country?

The return on investment is unmatched. By investing financially in our work, you’ll help enact legislation that allows taxpayer funds to be allocated to parents rather than being locked up in a bloated, ineffective, outdated, government-run, teacher union-controlled system that fails to effectively educate the vast majority of children, despite nearly $1 trillion of spending a year. Your financial investment will help advance education entrepreneurship and innovation, protect parental rights, and reform public education.

Your financial contribution is a strategic investment that will transform lives on a large scale. Nothing will impact the future of our country more than the education of our next generation — our future leaders, society, workforce, economy, and the electorate.
