The Bottom Line Keri D. Ingraham Kicks Off 2026 at the White House

Following several invitations to the White House in 2025, Discovery Institute Senior Fellow and American Center for Transforming Education Director Keri D. Ingraham returned this week.

The Trump Administration continues to prioritize the advancement of education freedom and education innovation, while breaking down the needless federal bureaucracy.

In March, Ingraham was at the White House as a guest of the President to attend the “Improving Education Outcomes by Empowering Parents, States, and Communities” executive order signing ceremony. As she said at the time for the White House website, “With this executive order, President Trump is delivering on his promise to the American people to dismantle the ineffective and bureaucracy-ridden U.S. Department of Education and return education to the states where it rightfully belongs. It is a historic day in our nation and takes us one step closer to the goal of education freedom for all families nationwide.”

U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon and her team are working overtime with resolve to fulfill the mandate to dismantle the department. As part of the effort, the Secretary is traveling the country on a “Returning Education to the States Tour,” visiting schools and engaging with educators, students, parents, and community members.

After an incredible year of education policy wins in 2025, which included six additional states — Tennessee, Idaho, Wyoming, Texas, Indiana, and New Hampshire — enacting universal school choice and the passage of the historic federal tax credit scholarship, 2026 is poised for further success.

We are grateful Ingraham is on the frontlines, educating, influencing, and providing policy solutions to the benefit of families nationwide and the future of America.
