Discovery Institute is pleased to announce that our friends at Biola University and the Evangelical Philosophical Society are hosting an apologetics conference which will include speakers from Discovery Institute, such as William Dembski, John Bloom, J. P. Moreland, and William Lane Craig.

The annual EPS Apologetics Conference is back! Join us for the highly anticipated three-day apologetics conference this November! The biggest event in apologetics will be held from November 18th to 20th in Denton, TX. Biola Apologetics is partnering with the Evangelical Philosophical Society (EPS) and Denton Bible Church to bring 30 of the top apologists and philosophers in the world together for the goal of better equipping Christians. By attending this conference you will have the opportunity to learn from the leading Christian scholars of our time such as J.P. Moreland, William Lane Craig, J. Warner Wallace, Gary Habermas, Craig Hazen, and many others.

This is a fantastic time to unpack what it looks like to be a believer in today’s culture. We hope that each individual will gain the knowledge and confidence to have impactful conversations with those they encounter. We hope to build up a new generation of believers to speak the truth of Christianity in love. Speakers

John Bloom

_{Fellow, Center for Science and Culture}

John Bloom is a Fellow of Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture and a Professor of Physics at Biola University in La Mirada, California. He serves as the Academic Director for Biola’s M.A. in Science and Religion program (MASR), which he founded in 2004, and previously served as Chair of the Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering Department. Dr. Bloom teaches a variety of undergraduate courses in Physics and graduate courses in the MASR. His research interests include the integration of Christianity with the sciences, and apologetics.

William Lane Craig

_{Fellow, Center for Science and Culture}

William Lane Craig is a Research Professor of Philosophy at Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, California. He earned a doctorate in philosophy at the University of Birmingham, England, before taking a doctorate in theology from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany, at which latter institution he was for two years a Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung. Prior to his appointmant at Talbot he spent seven years at the Higher Institute of Philosophy of the Katholike Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. He has authored or edited over thirty books, including The Kalam Cosmological Argument; Divine Foreknowledge and Human Freedom; Theism, Atheism, and Big Bang Cosmology; and God, Time, and Eternity, as well as nearly a hundred articles in professional journals of philosophy and theology, including The Journal of Philosophy, American Philosophical Quarterly, Philosophical Studies, Philosophy, and British Journal for Philosophy of Science. He currently lives in Atlanta with his wife Jan; they have two children, Charity and John.

William A. Dembski

_{Founding and Senior Fellow, Center for Science and Culture, Distinguished Fellow, Walter Bradley Center for Natural and Artificial Intelligence}

A mathematician and philosopher, Bill Dembski is the author/editor of more than 25 books as well as the writer of peer-reviewed articles spanning mathematics, engineering, biology, philosophy, and theology. With doctorates in mathematics (University of Chicago) and philosophy (University of Illinois at Chicago), Bill is an active researcher in the field of intelligent design. But he is also a tech entrepreneur who builds educational software and websites, exploring how education can help to advance human freedom with the aid of technology.

J.P. Moreland

_{Fellow and Distinguished Professor of Philosophy}

J. P. Moreland is Distinguished Professor of philosophy at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. He received a B. S. in physical chemistry from the University of Missouri, a Th.M. in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, an M.A. in philosophy from the University of California at Riverside, and a Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Southern California. He has authored, edited, or contributed papers to ninety-five books, including Does God Exist? (Prometheus), Universals (McGill-Queen’s), Consciousness and the Existence of God (Routledge), The Blackwell Companion to Natural Theology, The Blackwell Companion to Substance Dualism, and Debating Christian Theism (Oxford.) He has also published close to 90 articles in journals such as Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, American Philosophical Quarterly, Australasian Journal of Philosophy, MetaPhilosophy, Philosophia Christi, Religious Studies, and Faith and Philosophy. Moreland was selected in 2016 by The Best Schools as one of the 50 most influential living philosophers.
