The annual Apologetics Conference, hosted by both Biola Apologetics and the Evangelical Philosophical Society, is back again in Denver, CO. This year, they will be featuring speakers like William Lane Craig, Melissa Cain Travis, and John Bloom, all notable fellows from the Center for Science & Culture. We’d love to invite you to come out and support our fellows— and learn something too!

Below is a brief word from the conference organizers:

The annual EPS Apologetics Conference is back! Join us for the highly anticipated three-day apologetics conference this November! The biggest event in apologetics will be held November 17 through 19 in Denver, CO. Biola Apologetics is partnering with the Evangelical Philosophical Society (EPS) and Mission Hills Church to bring over 20 of the top apologists and philosophers in the world together for the goal of better equipping Christians. By attending this conference you will have the opportunity to learn from the leading Christian scholars of our time!

This is a fantastic time to unpack what it looks like to be a believer in today’s culture. We hope that each individual will gain the knowledge and confidence to have impactful conversations with those they encounter. We hope to build up a new generation of believers to speak the truth of Christianity in love. If you have questions, love apologetics, are doubting your faith or just want to know more, join us on November 17 through 19 for this year’s EPS Apologetics Conference!

John Bloom

_{Fellow, Center for Science and Culture}

John Bloom is a Fellow of Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture and a Professor of Physics at Biola University in La Mirada, California. He serves as the Academic Director for Biola’s M.A. in Science and Religion program (MASR), which he founded in 2004, and previously served as Chair of the Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering Department. Dr. Bloom teaches a variety of undergraduate courses in Physics and graduate courses in the MASR. His research interests include the integration of Christianity with the sciences, and apologetics.

William Lane Craig

_{Fellow, Center for Science and Culture}

William Lane Craig is a Research Professor of Philosophy at Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, California. He earned a doctorate in philosophy at the University of Birmingham, England, before taking a doctorate in theology from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany, at which latter institution he was for two years a Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung. Prior to his appointmant at Talbot he spent seven years at the Higher Institute of Philosophy of the Katholike Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. He has authored or edited over thirty books, including The Kalam Cosmological Argument; Divine Foreknowledge and Human Freedom; Theism, Atheism, and Big Bang Cosmology; and God, Time, and Eternity, as well as nearly a hundred articles in professional journals of philosophy and theology, including The Journal of Philosophy, American Philosophical Quarterly, Philosophical Studies, Philosophy, and British Journal for Philosophy of Science. He currently lives in Atlanta with his wife Jan; they have two children, Charity and John.

Melissa Cain Travis

_{Fellow, Center for Science and Culture}

Melissa Cain Travis earned a PhD in Humanities with a philosophy concentration from Faulkner University, an MA in Science and Religion from Biola University, and a BS in Biology from Campbell University. She is the author of Thinking God’s Thoughts: Johannes Kepler and the Miracle of Cosmic Comprehensibility (2022), Science and the Mind of the Maker: What the Conversation Between Faith and Science Reveals About God (2018), and a contributor to The Story of the Cosmos: How the Heavens Declare the Glory of God (2019). In addition to teaching graduate courses for Colorado Christian University's Lee Strobel Center, she serves on the Executive Council of the Evangelical Philosophical Society and as President of the Society for Women of Letters. She is part of the core writers team for The Worldview Bulletin and the Christian Research Journal, and regularly lectures at universities, seminaries, and churches around the country.
