John G. West to Speak on Cultural Reformation at Upcoming Conference in Tacoma, WA

Sessions presented at the upcoming Equipping the Saints Conference in Tacoma, WA

Discovery Institute Vice President and Senior Fellow John West will present two sessions for the Equipping the Saints Conference on cultural reformation on September 15-16 in Tacoma, WA.

On Friday night, Dr. West will discuss the topic of “Stockholm Syndrome Christianity” on the popular Theology Pugcast program taped live during the conference. The interview will explore how a growing number of Christians in science, academia, and public policy identify more with those who reject Christianity than those who embrace it. On Saturday, he will present a plenary session on “Cultural Reformation from the Bottom Up,” examining how Christians and other people of faith can influence the public square by leveraging religious liberty to promote voluntary initiatives that can transform the culture.

West’s books include Darwin Day in America, The Politics of Revelation and Reason, and The Magician’s Twin: C.S. Lewis on Science, Scientism, and Society, among others. His documentary films include Human Zoos: America’s Forgotten History of Scientific Racism, Revolutionary, The Magician’s Twin, and Privileged Species.

The Equipping the Saints Conference: Building Culture in Hostile Territory is sponsored by the Evangelical Reformed Church of Tacoma. More information is available on their conference webpage linked above.
