The Abolition of Man Revisited: C.S. Lewis and the Case Against Scientism

Part of the C.S. Lewis Autumn Event Series

In The Abolition of Man C.S. Lewis provided a penetrating critique of the impact of moral relativism and scientific materialism on modern society. In this free public lecture, hear Dr. Michael Aeschliman discuss why Lewis’s insights remain amazingly relevant to the issues we currently face.

A professor at Boston University, Dr. Aeschliman is author of the widely-praised book, The Restitution of Man: C.S. Lewis and the Case Against Scientism, the revised edition of which has a foreword by George Gilder. Dr. Aeschliman’s essays have appeared in a number of prominent publications, including National Review.

The event will be held on Thursday, October 6, at 7:30 p.m. at Otto Miller Hall 109, Seattle Pacific University. For directions, please visit: http://www.spu.edu/qamaps.asp.
No registration necessary for this free lecture. We anticipate a full house, so arrive early to ensure a seat! Co-sponsored by Discovery Institute and the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.
