The Center on Wealth and Poverty celebrates the entrepreneur as the wellspring of a vibrant economy and promotes policies and approaches that lead to economic prosperity. We also challenge the left’s notion of scarcity with evidence of superabundance made possible through human ingenuity. The Center is also home to two important initiatives: Fix Homelessness offers compassionate solutions to those experiencing poverty and suffering on our streets; Reasonable Energy contends that affordable, reliable, and plentiful energy is crucial to the wealth and resilience of the American economy.
The American Center for Transforming Education advocates for policies that empower parents, allow for innovation, and equip students with the skills, knowledge, and character necessary to thrive as citizens in our increasingly competitive economy. Our Senior Fellow Keri Ingraham has become a national figure in the reform movement that allows parents to choose the educational model best suited to their child. Thanks to her work and that of other reformers, a dozen states now have universal or near-universal K-12 education freedom, allowing parents to use state funding at the school of their choice — including faith-based options.
The Bradley Center for Natural and Artificial Intelligence explores the benefits as well as the challenges raised by artificial intelligence (AI) in light of the enduring truth of human exceptionalism. Our scholars critically examine AI and the distinction between human and machine intelligence. While acknowledging potential risks, we contend that AI is not something to be feared. Instead, it will enhance productivity and expand opportunity in ways yet unseen. Our signature annual event for this program — the COSM Technology Summit — features globally recognized names in technology. It is held annually in Bellevue, Washington.
The Center for Human Exceptionalism affirms and upholds the intrinsic nature of human dignity, liberty, and equality. In resistance to a growing movement against unique human personhood, the program challenges “slippery slope” policies that bestow rights on animals and nature — a moral equivalence has devastating societal implications. Led by Senior Fellow Wesley J. Smith, one of our most prolific authors, the center is home to the popular Humanize podcast.
