The Search for Truth: An Evening with Ambassador Sam Brownback

Sam Brownback will explore Discovery Institute’s commitment to seeking truth and making it accessible to a culture that is often unwilling to consider conclusions that challenge prevailing assumptions. Drawing on his experience in public service, faith, and international leadership, Ambassador Brownback will address why the search for truth matters and what it takes to pursue and defend it in today’s cultural climate.

Ambassador Sam Brownback has spent decades in public service advancing religious freedom and human rights. He served as U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom from 2018 to 2021 and previously represented Kansas in the U.S. Senate, where he helped advance landmark legislation addressing religious liberty and human trafficking. Brownback also served in the U.S. House of Representatives and as the 46th Governor of Kansas. He is one of only six individuals in American history to have served in all four roles: congressman, senator, governor, and ambassador. He currently co-chairs the International Religious Freedom Summit and chairs the National Committee for Religious Freedom.
