The Privileged Planet

National Premiere at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History

June 23, 2005

Jay Richards (left) and Guillermo Gonzalez answered questions following the film.

Following the film and the after discussion there was a reception in the museum’s Hall of Geology, Gems and Minerals.

Many VIP guests stayed to enjoy the reception, including Dr. Ken Ferguson, COO of National Geographic Television and a member of the premiere’s host committee.

Congressman John Culberson of Texas (left, Richards center, Gonzalez right) enjoyed the film, the reception and — as an amateur astronomer — especially getting to discuss the hypothesis of The Privileged Planet with the book’s authors.

Richards and Gonzalez enjoyed socializing with all the guests at the reception.
