The Debate Over Design in the Early Church

Current debates over whether nature displays evidence of intelligent design echo debates that took place in the first centuries of the Christian church. According to John West, there is much we can learn from those earlier debates. This presentation was taped at the 2022 Westminster Conference on Science and Faith in the greater Philadelphia area, which was jointly sponsored by Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture and Westminster Theological Seminary.

Dr. John West is Vice President of Discovery Institute and Managing Director of its Center for Science and Culture. He is the author or editor of a dozen books, including The Magician’s Twin: C.S.
