Paul Teller is the President of Teller Strategies, a political consulting firm dedicated to helping clients connect and collaborate across all facets of the conservative movement on a wide range of policy issues. Known for “knowing everybody” and his “happy warrior” reputation, Paul leverages deep relationships and insider experience to advance principled conservative objectives.

Before founding Teller Strategies, Paul served as the founding Executive Director and later Executive Vice President of Advancing American Freedom, Vice President Mike Pence’s issue advocacy organization, where he remains a Senior Advisor. Previously, he spent four years in the Trump-Pence White House as Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs and later as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Vice President.

A veteran of 16 years on Capitol Hill, Paul also served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and as Executive Director to the House Republican Study Committee. He earned a Ph.D. in political science from American University and a B.A. from Duke University.

Paul regularly authors and co-authors policy op-eds, makes national and local media appearances, addresses political conferences and coalition meetings of varying sizes, organizes political get-togethers (such as the Member of the Tribe quarterly happy hours for Jewish Republicans), and mentors young politicos as they network their way into ever-improving political opportunities.
