

Acclaimed British filmmaker Norman Stone is director of the 2021 film The Most Reluctant Convert: The Untold Story of C.S. Lewis. He began his professional life in television as the youngest director at the BBC. He has done multiple projects on C.S. Lewis, including the original BBC version of Shadowlands, as well as films on Martin Luther and Florence Nightingale, two Agatha Christie Miss Marple movies, and an adaptation of a story by the great Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoyevsky. In the course of his career, he has worked with many of the film industry’s top actors, including Peter O’Toole, Helena Bonham Carter, Jeremy Irons, Jonathan Pryce, Claire Bloom, and Lee Remick. He has won awards from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, and an international Emmy.
