Ransom Poythress

Associate Professor of Biology, Houghton University

Dr. Ransom Poythress holds a BS from California Institute of Technology, an MA from Westminster Theological Seminary and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology and Biochemistry from Boston University.  He is an Associate Professor of Biology at Houghton University in Western New York. His research there focuses on the molecular mechanisms of smooth muscle contractile physiology.  He is the author of Richard Dawkins, and Has Science Made God Unnecessary? He and his wife and three children live near the University campus where they enjoy playing board games and ministering to students.
