John West Explores Junk Science, Sexuality, and More at Upcoming SES Conference

Curious how scientism and secularism have impacted our understanding of sex, marriage, and the family? Consider joining Discovery Institute Vice President John G. West as he explores this question — and much more — in two important sessions featured at the upcoming SES Steadfast Conference in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Drawing from his research in books like Darwin Day in America and Stockholm Syndrome Christianity, Dr. West will present the following sessions as part of the overall theme of “Defining & Defending Marriage & Family”:

Sex, Marriage, and Stockholm Syndrome Christianity
What if the breakdown of the American family isn’t just due to crusading secularists? What if it’s also caused by leading Christians who identify more with secular elites than with the Bible? This session will investigate the disturbing ways some Christians are encouraging the rejection of biblical sexual standards—and discuss how we can change things.

Darwin, Kinsey, and the Roots of the Sexual Revolution
Learn the disturbing story of how Charles Darwin and Alfred Kinsey used junk science to overthrow the biblical understanding of sex and family. And then hear how their legacy still haunts us today.
