TVW to Broadcast Discovery Institute Event

Featuring Cdr. Steve Bristow of the USS Abraham Lincoln

This week, TVW will broadcast a taped recording of Commander Steve Bristow’s May 5th discussion of his recent tour of duty on the USS Abraham Lincoln to tsunami-ravaged areas of Indonesia. In the program, Steve recounts behind-the-scenes efforts of the Lincoln Strike Group that assisted victims of the devastating December 26th tsunami. More generally, he discusses the qualities of the United States Navy as a superpower and how these qualities, along with the people who make up our navy, effect our interactions with other nations and peoples.

Broadcast Schedule:

Wednesday, May 11th at 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 12th at 3:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Follow-up broadcasts have also been scheduled to air over the weekend.
