The Center connects young leaders with experienced mentors and professionals in the fields of business, education, religion, media and public service. The goal of the center is to develop the next generation of public and private sector leaders, and to do so in the spirit of collegiality and non-partisan collaboration. In mid-March you will receive a letter from the US Government preparing you to reply to the 2020 Decennial Census. Therewith starts a large series of changes, from numbers for each state in the U.S. House of Representatives to the allocation of $1.5 Trillion in federal aid to states and localities. The 2020 Census also will give us a new picture of dramatic social and economic changes taking place in America, some good, some bad. Discovery Institute Founder and Chairman of the Board Bruce Chapman was Director of the U.S. Census Bureau under President Ronald Reagan and will provide a preview of this year’s Census and what it means for the country and Washington State. The decennial Census is the touchstone of the entire US Statistical system and is used by government at all levels
