Paul Guppy

Paul Guppy is a graduate of Seattle University and holds Masters Degrees in political science from Claremont University and the London School of Economics.  He completed higher education programs at The Sorbonne, Paris and at Gonzaga University in Florence, Italy.

He worked 12 years in the U.S. Congress as a Chief of Staff, a Legislative Director and on the professional staff of the House Appropriations Committee.  He is the former Vice President for Research at the Seattle-based Washington Policy Center, is the author of numerous policy studies at the state and federal level.  He is a frequent political commentator on both traditional and digital media, and is the editor of the Policy Guide to Washington State.  He specializes in economics, public finance, tax reform and the role government policy plays in influencing the broader culture.
