Discovery-Mackenzie is an interdisciplinary research center of Mackenzie Presbyterian University that fosters research into the scientific evidence of intelligent design in nature as well as exploring the relationship between science and culture, including the relationship between science and faith. Toward this end, Discovery Mackenzie intends to encourage and/or finance scientific and academic research; hold conferences, symposia, workshops and courses; train and certify teachers and lecturers; produce videos and TV and/or radio programs; maintain web pages and social media accounts; publish books and magazines; prepare or revise education materials; and maintain an exchange of personnel and knowledge with Discovery Institute-USA (DI-USA) and other affiliated centers.

Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture advances the understanding that human beings and nature are the result of intelligent design rather than a blind and undirected process. We seek long-term scientific and cultural change through cutting-edge scientific research and scholarship; education and training of young leaders; communication to the general public; and advocacy of academic freedom and free speech for scientists, teachers, and students.
