What Think Tanks Think About

Featuring Discovery Institute President Bruce Chapman

Part of our McNaughton Fellows Lecture Series

Discovery Institute is pleased to announce a summer lecture series for interns and young professionals. The ‘Gorton Summer Program’ named for our distinguished board member and former U.S. Senator Slade Gorton, will introduce young people to the nature and ideals of public service. The series will also examine current political issues and their potential impact.

The first program will feature Bruce Chapman, who will discuss the workings of a think tank. While attendance is open to anyone, the series is targeted at those with an interest in public policy and who are just starting their professional careers.

This event will be held on Thursday, July 28th, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at Discovery Institute, located in the Melbourne Tower at the corner of Third Avenue and Pike Street in downtown Seattle. Location is well-served by Metro and public parking is accessible from the corner of Second Avenue and Pike Street. Refreshments will be provided, and there is no cost to attend.

For information regarding the event or to register, please contact Rachel Krauskopf at rachelk@discovery.org or at (206) 292-0401, ext. 153.
