Gresham’s Values

The Lewis Legacy-Issue 78, Autumn 1998 The C.S. Lewis Foundation for Truth in Publishing

During a breakout session at the Oxbridge conference, Douglas Gresham was asked who owns C. S. Lewis Pte. Ltd, which controls the rights to Lewis’s works. He said that although he is employed by the firm, he doesn’t know who owns it. Moreover, as long as the company pays him well, he doesn’t care who owns it. He made it clear that he is now the appointed gate-keeper for the company, boasting that C. S. Lewis Pte. Ltd. has followed all of his suggestions up to now.
