Alex Lykken is the Assistant to the President, Bruce Chapman. He earned his Bachelor's degree, cum laude, in Political Science and History from Central Washington University. Before coming to Discovery Institute he worked in the Washington State Senate for the Government Operations and Elections Committee.

He and his wife, Katie, live in Seattle.
