Apply to the Chapman Fellowship

The Chapman Fellowship brings together 12-15 young professionals and students from Washington State for a four-day leadership retreat on Vashon, Washington. An intimate study experience, the program features readings and discussions on civic leadership led by some of our state’s most distinguished leaders in business, education, media, religion, and public service. The 2020 Chapman Fellowship will take place on June 11-14.

If you are under the age of 35 and aim to make a significant leadership contribution to your community, we encourage you to apply. The application deadline for the 2020 program is Thursday, March 12, 2020. Questions about the application process can be directed to Jackson Meyer at jmeyer@discovery.org.

Submit the following:

  • A cover letter explaining why you wish to be a part of the Chapman Fellowship and how your career goals are linked to your vision for a more free and just society.
  • A résumé.
  • Any additional materials supporting your interest in government, public policy, or civic leadership. (Optional)
