Research Grants and Fellowships

Research Grants and Fellowships

From its founding in 1996, the Center for Science and Culture has provided grants and fellowships for a wide variety of research projects in fields such as biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, genetics, physics, astronomy, history and philosophy of science, ethics, and political science. These research projects have produced many path-breaking books and technical articles. Grants and fellowships have gone primarily to scientists and scholars directly affiliated with the Center for Science and Culture, but recently we have allocated a small number of grants for projects by scientists and scholars at other research institutions and universities. Note: Our grants do not provide funding for indirect costs.

Requests for research funding are currently considered by invitation only. To be considered for funding, recipients generally are required to have a PhD in their field and an established record of research excellence.
