Reasons 2019

New conversations on science and faith

Do you ever have the feeling that science conflicts with faith? Well, you are not alone:

  • 59% of American adults believe “science and religion are often in conflict” (2014 Pew Survey)
  • 29% of young adults from a Christian background believe “churches are out of step with the scientific world we live in” (The Barna Group 2011)
  • Nearly 90% of leading scientists in the field of evolution according to one survey don’t believe in God, don’t believe evolution exhibits an ultimate purpose, and don’t believe in immortality (PhD thesis by Greg Graffin, Cornell University, 2004)

But what if there is another perspective?
What if the discoveries of science in fact support the existence of and belief in God?

Join us at Reasons 2019: New Conversations on Science and Faith to hear from leading academics in science, history of science, and apologetics provide the latest compelling evidence for the interdependence of science and faith. And, for the first time, we are including talks in the breakout sessions for high school students!

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear and interact with some of the leading authorities working at the intersection of science and faith! The conference will be held at Faith Bible Church in The Woodlands and co-sponsored the Houston Chapter of the Science and Culture Network and Discovery Institute’s Center for Science & Culture.
