Texas Premiere of Fire-Maker

Featuring Dr. Michael Denton for Skype Q & A
Past Event May 18, 2016 The Woodlands, TX
Following the publication of Dr. Michael Denton’s groundbreaking new book, Evolution: Still A Theory in Crisis, comes a new 22-minute documentary featuring Denton's research into an aspect of our everyday lives that we tend to take for granted: fire. Fire-Maker: How Humans Were Designed to Harness Fire and Transform Our Planet focuses the fine-tuning argument on a very unique and history-changing aspect of our privileged position in the universe. In the film, Dr. Denton notes a conspicuous coincidence: that Earth is the only planet where fire can be harnessed, and that humans are the only creatures who are prepared to harness it. Watch the trailer.

This new documentary dovetails with an earlier documentary featuring Denton, Privileged Species. Together, these two films provide a powerful challenge to the notion that Earth and humanity are neither special nor unique. To the contrary, Denton suggests that they are exceptional.
