Senior Fellow and Program Director of the Center for Science & Culture ,Stephen C. Meyer, will be speaking on his most recent book, Darwin's Doubt: The Explosive Origin of Animal Life and the Case for Intelligent Design, as part of the biology department's E.O. Grundset Lecture Series at Southern Adventist University.
When Charles Darwin finished The Origin of Species,he knew that his theory did not explain the "Cambrian explosion," when many animals suddenly appeared in the fossil record without apparent ancestors in earlier layers of rock. In this presentation, Dr. Meyer will show that the origin of biological information - stored in DNA - as well as other mysterious features of the Cambrian event, are best explained by intelligent design, rather than purely undirected evolutionary processes.
