In recent years, several prominent political scientists including James Q. Wilson, Francis Fukuyama and Charles Murray have argued that it is not only possible but necessary to ground political conservatism in Darwinian biology. Dr. Larry Arnhart of Northern Illinois University and Dr. John West of Discovery Institute debate the possibility of a Darwinian conservatism. Dr. Arnhart makes the case for Darwinian conservatism, while Dr. West advances the case against it.
