Discovery Institute Night at the Theater

Taproot presentation of Freud's Last Session
Past Event March 27, 2012

C.S. Lewis, meet Dr. Sigmund Freud. As air raid sirens sound, a young professor is invited to tea by the exiled father of psychoanalysis. Lewis and Freud banter and battle over the reality and meaning of love, war, suffering and God. Join us at Taproot Theatre for a special performance and regional premiere of a play that the Huffington Post calls an “exciting and thought-provoking” intellectual thriller.

This event includes a special half-hour pre-show on the real story of C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud, featuring Discovery Senior Fellow Dr. John West, co-editor of The C.S. Lewis Readers Encyclopedia. Guests will also get a sneak peek at the forthcoming book, edited by Dr. West, about C.S. Lewis and his views on science.

Tickets are only $21 for adults (regular performance prices are $29-$37) and $15 for a limited number of students. Online registration is now closed, but we still have limited walk-up tickets available if space permits. Payment must be made by Cash or Check only - we cannot process credit cards at the door. In addition we cannot guarantee seats will still be available..

Doors open at 6:30pm for refreshments and a book table will be available in the upper lobby before and after the play.
