Are science and faith compatible? Does science support or challenge our deepest beliefs? Is there evidence that life and the universe were intelligently designed? Explore these questions and more at this two-day conference to be held October 14-15, 2011 on the campus of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia, just 40 minutes north of Atlanta International Airport.

Featured speakers include Dr. Jay Richards, co-author of The Privileged Planet: How Our Place in the Cosmos Is Designed For Discovery and editor of God and Evolution: Protestants, Catholics, and Jews Explore Darwin’s Challenge to Faith; Dr. Jonathan Wells, author of The Myth of Junk DNA and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Darwinism and Intelligent Design; Dr. John West, author of Darwin Day in America and co-editor of The C.S. Lewis Readers’ Encyclopedia; and Dr. Paul Nelson, Adjunct Professor of Science and Religion at Biola University.

Sessions will explore the compatibility of science and faith; the impact of Darwinian evolution on ethics, society, and theology; and the scientific evidence for intelligent design and its implications for theism. This conference will be of special interest to pastors, church leaders, and students at seminaries and Christian colleges.

Sponsored by Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture in conjunction with Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (Atlanta), Shorter University, the C.S. Lewis Institute (Atlanta), and the Areopagus Christian Study Center

Conference admission is only $35 (including Friday night's session, Saturday's sessions, and a free book and DVD). Students can attend for free with a student ID, but they must pre-register in order to get conference materials and guarantee a space at the conference.
