Waterfronts for All

Seattle, WA

In Bremerton and Tacoma, parks and public development authorities are working together with a unified vision to create people-friendly waterfronts. Bremerton Mayor Cary Bozeman and Su Dowie from Tacoma's Foss Waterway PDA make presentations about what their communities are doing to convert blighted waterfronts into great civic places. They are joined by councilmember Richard Conlin; Hubert Locke, former dean of the Evans School; John Rahaim, Seattle Planning Director; and Sally Bagshaw, chair of the Allied Arts Waterfront Committee in a panel discussion about what Seattle might learn from Bremerton and Tacoma. Downstairs at Town Hall, enter on Seneca Street. Tickets are only $5 at the door.
