Join Discovery Institute Bioethics Senior Fellow Wesley J. Smith for an informative and lively discussion on his new book, A Rat Is a Pig Is a Dog Is a Boy: The Human Cost of the Animal Rights Movement. For years, the animal rights movement has seeped into the core of Western culture, undermining the fundamental concept of what it means to be human. In his new book, Mr. Smith joins the debate and helps clarify the crucial difference between animal rights and animal welfare, as it focuses on the importance of human exceptionalism.
The event will be held at our Seattle headquarters, located at 208 Columbia Street in downtown Seattle, on Thursday, March 18, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. A selection of regional wines and cheeses will precede the event. Though we cannot validate, parking is available in the Millennium Tower Garage (719 2nd Avenue - entrance on Columbia). Should you choose to park elsewhere, please verify the garage hours as many of the adjacent parking lots in our neighborhood close at 6:00 pm. Our new location is also metro accessible.
To RSVP, please contact Mollie Tschida at (206) 292-0401 ext. 111 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
